David has worked in the marine industry for approximately 30 years, spending many years at sea and progressing to a master of vessels. David has successfully operated his own fleet of vessels based in Southeastern Australia for the past 15 years.
Since being appointed Managing Director of Polaris Marine, David has brought invaluable experience to the company from operating offshore on a continuing schedule and is instrumental in the day to day operations and the safety culture of Polaris Marine.
Chief Operating Officer
Brad has in excess of 15 years in the marine industry and has been with Polaris Marine since 2011. After several years as a senior tug master, Brad moved across into management as the Operations Manager. There he was responsible for job assessment, quotations and implementation along with the day to day management of crews and vessels operating out of Sydney and along the east coast.
He has now progressed to Chief Operations Manager where he is responsible for the overall management of the company and ensuring strategy and direction as set by the board is implemented. He is responsible for seeing the overall operational requirements are being met, overseeing all management teams and their project commitments including administration. He is well placed for this role given his many years of experience both in management and in the field.
After 13 years as a bridge and wharf carpenter on Sydney Harbour, Nathan has made the transition to Operations Manager. He has experience as a crane drive and barge master making him well equipped to handle the wide range of works and everchanging needs of people on the harbour. He is responsible for job management and implementation, along with the day to day management of crew and vessels operating out of Sydney Harbour.
Offshore Fleet Manager
With over 20 years’ experience in the marine industry, Steve ‘s qualifications as a Master 4 and an Engineer Class 3 have ensured his extensive capabilities and knowledge of Offshore Dredging Projects, Marine Construction Projects, Offshore Towage and Ship and Tug Assist. In recent projects, he has gained specialist experience with on-site vessel safety and environmental compliance requirements for clients. At Polaris Marine, Steve is the coordinator for all offshore requirements, ranging from Offshore towage to Dredging operations to Heavy Haulage Logistics.
Shelley has 10 years’ experience in accounting and finance within the Marine Industry and Property Market. Shelley co-ordinates all the accounting and payroll procedures within the company.
Her responsibilities cover all aspects of payments, tax preparation, lodgement and financial reporting and reports directly back to the Directors and Shareholders
Olivia has 15 years’ experience in administration and accounts, and is responsible for the overall smooth running of the office, as well as administrative and accounts functions of the business.
Craig has more than 25 years in the marine industry overseas. Having spent many years at sea, he has leveraged his qualifications as a Master, Engineer and Marine Surveyor into more than 10 years of project management of high-level vessel construction and fleet operations.
