PM South is a 55m x 18m barge ideal for construction work and large scale load out projects. Built in 2010 and well maintained, this barge has a dwt of 2100T and a deck capacity of 15t/sqm. Draft at lightship is 0.7m and a moulded depth of 3.65m. It is currently fitted with spuds along with a 4-point hydraulic mooring system.

PM Melbourne is a 35m x 17m barge ideal for construction work and small to large scale load out projects.  This barge has a dwt of 1300T and a deck capacity of 15t/sqm.  Draft at lightship is 0.6m.  It is currently fitted with a 4-point hydraulic mooring system.

PM North is a 35m x 17m barge ideal for construction work and small to large scale load out projects.  This barge has a dwt of 1300T and a deck capacity of 15t/sqm.  Draft at lightship is 0.6m.  It is currently fitted with a 4-point hydraulic mooring system.

Tangaroa is a 15m x 9m crane barge with an 8-tonne hydraulic Palfinger crane that is suitable for building sites needing a larger lift capacity. Capable of carrying up to 100 tonnes of cargo this barge and is an excellent option for waterfront building site deliveries and removals.

This barge has a 4 tonne Palfinger crane and is perfect to use for delivery of landscape products.  Being 12m x 6m this barge is perfect for sites with tight access.

This ro-ro barge is 24m x 10m capable of carrying up to 180 tonnes of cars and trucks.  Its drive on & off-loading ramp also makes it versatile for a range of projects including delivery of heavy machinery and concrete trucks. 

Her 21m x 10m size gives her greater mobility to work on sites with limited or difficult access. Heavy plant such as an Excavator can be easily transported on this barge.

Tambai is a self-propelled land barge capable of carrying loads of up to 50 tonnes. This vessel is ideal for transferring vehicles including a single semi-trailer within both sheltered waters and offshore

Polaris Marine has 12 modular barges, each measuring 12mx3m. They have a 4T per square metre deck capacity, and are transportable by land or water. These barges are designed with a locking system that allows for two or more pontoons to be attached and operational in a short period of time. They are a versatile building block and can be used for a wide variety of jobs.

At 22m long and with a bollard pull of 16.6t Leaders Creek is a versatile Utility Tug. Leaders Creek is predominately used for offshore towing where she has proven herself the ideal vessel. Leaders Creek has statutory approval for unlimited international towing and is well equipped to perform short or long offshore tows.

At 30m in length Molly Grace is the largest tug in the Polaris fleet. Although built and equipped for offshore towing she has been modified to adapt to inshore/near coastal operations such as dredging support. Assisted by her generous 33t bollard pull, Molly Grace handles larger ship movements and towage offshore, offshore support with her 20T gantry crane aft, and seabed sweeping operations with her 20T sweep bar with ease.

The newest addition to the Polaris fleet, Lady Norman is our new pusher tug specially built for harbour movements. With impressive power and wheelhouse height, Lady Norman is the ideal tug for moving high-cargo and crane barges around the harbour.

Constructed in 2009, EDI is a 23 m long Utility Tug with a bollard pull of 16.6t, however recently completed modifications have seen EDI refitted with the ability to carry out ploughing and sweep bar operations. Now with the capability of carrying a 20t sweep bar, EDI has successfully completed sweeping operations in many of Australia’s commercial ports, including Geelong, Port Phillip, Gladstone and Sydney Harbour.

As a well-equipped workboat with a 2.9 tonne crane and double winch system, this vessel is ideally suited for the smaller jobs around the harbour and offshore.

Tarma is used as a Bunker barge capable of carrying up to 18,000 litres of fuel whilst also having a 2.9T crane and winch system.
